Norway Savings Bank donates surprise $1,000 to Greater Portland Immigrant Welcome Center

PORTLAND — Norway Savings Bank team members continued their surprise holiday “Helping Hands” donations to many worthy, local nonprofits this week with a special stop at the Greater Portland Immigrant Welcome Center, bringing a $1,000 check for the organization with them.

The center aims to help the area’s thriving immigrant community fully reach its “civic, economic, and social potential” by offering a hub of collaboration that strengthens the immigrant community through language acquisition, economic integration, and civic engagement.
